HRM is the responsibility of every executive

The management of Human Resource in the workplace is not a concern exclusively for those executives whose name cards say "Human Resource Manager" or Human Resource Directors", or something like that. This book is, likewise, not intended for the said persons only.
Human Resource management is every executive`s responsibility, especially those in top management. So long as you have people reporting to you, and for whom you hold some responsibility, in a way, you are a human resources manager!
Astute bosses who know this fact have been able to exploit the competitive edge that comes from getting the right people and harnessing their capabilities to perform great deeds.
If you are not the boss who makes the crucial decision for the entire organization, but are specialist charged with the HR function, you owe it to you boss and your non-specialist colleagues to make them see how important it is start regarding people as the organization`s most important assets.
Don`t be like one HR Manager I used to know who would cater to his boss`s every whim and fancy, even though it went against the core of HR practices.
